About Me

My
Story

My name is Olga Vončina, and I am a certified life coach specializing in personal branding. I live in Slovenia, Europe, with my long-time partner of over 30 years (still not married, but close! 😄) and our son. We have our own house with a big garden, where we grow vegetables and fruits and enjoy spending time with our pets and animals. In my free time, I love hiking and cycling in the hills around our home. I'm an empath, a dreamer, a dancer, and a lover of nature, always striving to find balance in life.

My journey into life coaching is deeply rooted in my personal and professional experiences. I graduated with a bachelor’s degree in economics in 2003, specializing in marketing, but life had other plans. Instead of diving into marketing, I found myself working in the public sector for over 35 years, handling finances, budgeting, project management, and accounting. While the job was stable, it wasn’t fulfilling. The lack of recognition, poor opportunities for promotion, and the exhausting workload left me feeling trapped and overwhelmed.

I was always the one to over-deliver, working extra hours—sometimes even nights and weekends—to ensure everything was done right. But despite all my efforts, I felt stuck in a cycle of serving others while neglecting myself. My life was full of responsibilities—demanding job, family, aging parents, building a new home—yet I felt powerless and overwhelmed. Life was happening to me, and I was losing myself, not getting compensated for my efforts, whether in money, living life on my terms, or at least receiving recognition and respect from others! I made it mean I wasn’t good or capable enough and felt ashamed that I was limited by what I could do with my hands, instead of using my intellect to create a more quality life for myself.

During this difficult time, I realized I needed a change. I decided I wanted to create extra income, not just to break the cycle of living paycheck to paycheck but to prove to myself that I was capable of more.

While researching online work opportunities, I stumbled upon life coaching. Something mysteriously magical happened as I learned more about it—I just knew it was what I wanted for myself. It was the first thing that made real change in my life seem possible. And believe me, I’d tried all kinds of motivational and spiritual techniques to deal with my feelings of unworthiness, but nothing had truly helped me make lasting changes. I’d had many “aha” moments and expanded my mindset, but no real change followed—until I was coached by a life coach. It was like lightning struck; everything suddenly started to unfold. For the first time, I believed real transformation was possible, and I knew in an instant that I wanted to become a life coach and help others transform their lives, just like mine was changing.

I spent a year in a self-coaching program that helped me rethink different areas of my life. Through coaching, I became aware of the negative, self-limiting beliefs that had held me back for so long. I realized that my journey wasn’t just about making more money—it was about reclaiming my self-worth and living unapologetically. I wanted to break free from people-pleasing and step into my full potential.

Determined to make this new path work, I invested in a six-month certification program at The Life Coach School, which I completed in May 2022. It wasn't easy—I had to find the money (which I didn’t have), overcome my deepest fears, doubts, and shame, show up for training (with my clumsy English), and learn skills that were completely new to me. But I was so committed to this new vision for my life that I was able to do what once seemed impossible.

Very soon, I realized that completing the certification was only the first milestone. The beginning of my coaching journey came with its own set of challenges. I had the knowledge and all the shiny tools to help people but no idea how to reach them or explain my value. Who am I? What do I do? How do I help? I had no clarity around those concepts—no message and no words to communicate them properly.

Marketing communication became my real challenge!

So I started studying online marketing. I spent countless hours—and euros—studying courses, webinars, podcasts, funnels, social media, platforms... only to feel more overwhelmed. After trying so many things, I still couldn’t put together a simple introductory website, make a compelling Facebook post, or briefly explain who I was and what I did. Imposter syndrome hit hard.

Then I became really curious: Why on earth was this so difficult? Am I so stupid and truly incapable, or was there something deeper behind it? Intuitively, I followed my gut and explored what felt right to me, examining what I was resisting. Eventually, after questioning my vision, what I truly wanted from my business, who I wanted to work with, what my mission was, the process I would take clients through to create real transformation, and what my offer was, the concept of my business became clear. Defining my brand expression, owning my truth, and aligning my core brand messages with who I truly was allowed me to believe I could help my people achieve the results they desired—and that it was possible for me to make money as a life coach. This awareness and clarity made me feel unstoppable, finally ready to start my coaching business!

So I thought I was ready to start selling my coaching, but once again, it turned out something was missing: I still didn’t know how to connect with people and get their attention. My fear of showing up was still there—until I had a major realization. My struggles were a reflection of the same old belief: “I’m not good enough.” I had to shift my mindset once again, this time as a coach and entrepreneur.
I

had to step into the role of a leader who had a clear plan for where I was taking my clients and learn how to communicate that with certainty. No convincing, no manipulation, no BS. Calm, sure, and unapologetic. I had to lead not just with words and features, but with my energy.

And this is my story. I had to become unapologetic not just in my life, but in my business. I discovered how uncertainty feeds the fear of showing up, and the more I embraced my unapologetic self, the more I could show up for myself and my business. Freeing myself from shame, fear, and doubt made it possible to do what it takes—to feel the discomfort of the unknown, to do hard things, to make it happen. My transformation has been profound. I went from feeling like a powerless victim to taking control of my life, embracing my self-worth, following my desires, and showing up unapologetically. Yes, it took me more than two years, but I’ve created my own coaching program, tested it with clients, and started selling.

Now, I work with new coaches, helping them craft their core messages so that their brand expression resonates with who they really are. I help them create a clear plan for their clients and put it into words so that people pay attention. I encourage them to step into leadership and lead with their energy.

My mission is to help you own your truth, free yourself from shame, fear, and doubt, and become unapologetic.

If I was able to do it, so can you—and I’m here to help you every step of the way.

Are you coming?
